ImVia poster on MS filter and sensor development platform, as presented during an exhibition in the Culture Centre

In the week from 19 to 26 November the University of Burgundy organised an exhibition in their Culture Centre with the title “Prototypes of Special objects”. In this exhibition the poster below was shown with work of ImVia on the MS filter and sensor development platform for Precision Agriculture.

On 13 October Professor Pierre Gouton did an online presentation titled “One-shot Multispectral imaging hybrid sensors: recent advances and practical implementation”during the 8th international color & coating congress originally scheduled to take place in Tehran, Iran.
On 13 – 15 September ImVia did an oral presentation titled “Estimation of Leaf Area in Bell Pepper Plant using Image Processing techniques and Artificial Neural Networks”during the online International Conference on Signal Processing and Image Processing Applications from IEEE originally scheduled to take place in Malaysia.

Second Year Review with great outcomes

On 25 March the consortium presented the technical progress of the project. 8 Demonstrators were presented, covering application domains as diverse as health and well-being, precision agriculture, security, broadcast and automotive. To follow the discussion, see also Linked-In: Link

On 25 and 26 November the CAVIAR project participated in the online EFECS meeting. Work from the partners was presented with a number of videos. The contribution of ImVia can be watched here, and the contribution of Adimec here

Due to the pandemic, the consortium continues to meet on line instead of physically at one of the members. On the 22nd of October the team met to prepare EFECS, which will take place end of November.

On 13 and 14 October Cadence organized their Cadence Live event online. During this event Pepijn Kampf of Grass Valley presented his work on 25Gbps design.

On 3 June the consortium met virtually in a Skype meeting to discuss the progress in the project and the present partner progress.

On 26 March 2020, the first year of the CAVIAR project was reviewed by the Penta office. Reviewers that day were Patrick Cogez (Technical Program Manager), Patrick Pype (member of the Technical Expert Group), and Mario Diaz-Nava (member of the Technical Expert Group)

As a face-to-face meeting was not possible due to the covid-19 outbreak, the project review was done via Skype, and several results were demonstrated with pre-recorded movies.

EVS and Grass Valley participated in the AIMS Alliance meeting in December, 2019.
AIMS is a non-profit trade alliance that fosters the adoption of one set of common, ubiquitous, standards-based protocols for interoperability over IP in the media and entertainment, and professional audio/video industries.
Grass Valley is chairing the AIMS alliance.
